Jonathan Draycott

Jonathan has been working in the asset management industry for the last fifteen years, primarily focused on investing in and operationally supporting small businesses and their owner-operators as they transition to new ownership. Jonathan is a proven partner that is not only capable of managing the sensitive transaction process with the seller but has also worked in full-time operational roles to drive value and process improvements.

Prior to founding TrussPoint, Jonathan was Senior Vice President, Private Equity and co-lead of the Canadian private equity investment team at Ardenton Capital Corporation. Ardenton invested in leading owner-operator businesses across North America and the United Kingdom. Prior to Ardenton, Jonathan was a Vice President at Ironbridge Equity Partners, a lower mid-market private equity firm, where he sourced, assessed, executed, and monitored private equity investments. While at Ironbridge, Jonathan was a highly active, hands-on partner to portfolio company CEOs and management teams, and supported in an interim capacity as Chief Financial Officer for two of the portfolio companies. In addition, Jonathan has past investment experience working on the minority, growth equity investment team at Export Development Canada (EDC) and on the direct private equity team at OMERS Private Equity. Jonathan started his career working in investment banking and assurance services for Ernst & Young. He has also served on the boards of several private equity-backed companies and is a past Co-Chair of the Canadian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association’s Young Professionals Committee.

Jonathan holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University and a Chartered Professional Accountant designation. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Outside of the office, Jonathan stays active with his wife of ten years and two beautiful daughters who all love to travel, preferably to the beach!

Adam Jezewski

Adam has been working in the asset management industry since 2006, primarily focused on investing in and operationally supporting small businesses and their owner-operators as they transition to new ownership. Adam is a proven leader with an established track record of executing investments with high integrity, delivering on commitments, and creating enduring relationships with business owners and management teams.

Prior to joining TrussPoint, Adam was a Partner and Managing Director, Eastern Canada at Equicapita Investment Corp. Equicapita acquires leading owner-operator businesses across Canada. Prior to Equicapita, Adam was a Partner and Managing Director at Banyan Capital Partners, a mid-market private equity firm that acquires businesses across North America. While at Equicapita and Banyan Capital Partners, Adam was responsible for sourcing and executing investments, and was an active, hands-on partner and advisor to portfolio company CEOs and finance leaders, providing coaching, mentorship and help with strategic initiatives such as acquisitions, capital raising and strategic planning.

In addition, Adam has past investment experience working with early-stage technology companies at Emerald Technology Ventures, a Swiss based venture capital firm that invests in clean technology companies globally. 

Adam started his career in 2000, working in corporate finance advisory services for Ernst & Young. He has served on the boards of several private equity-backed companies and has experience as an advisor, investor and Board member for companies based in Canada, China, India and the United Kingdom.

Adam holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Williams School of Business at Bishop’s University. He is also a CFA Charterholder.

Outside of the office, Adam stays active with his wife of 20 years and three sons who all love to play sports, travel and be outdoors.

Andrew Mitchell

Andrew has over fifteen years experience advising, investing in and operating Canadian small businesses. Andrew’s diverse set of experiences and people-first approach allow him to uniquely partner with business owners and management teams across day-to-day operational matters through execution of longer-term strategic initiatives.

Prior to joining TrussPoint, Andrew served as Chief Financial Officer for a leading North American industrial manufacturing and field service provider. During his tenure, he was an integral part of the leadership team that carefully crafted succession plans for previous family ownership and positioned the company for growth. Andrew was accountable for and led teams across Finance, HR, IT, Real Estate, Legal and M&A before successfully guiding the company through its sale process to new investment partners. Prior to operating, Andrew was Vice President at Ironbridge Equity Partners, a lower mid-market private equity firm, where he sourced, assessed, executed and actively supported direct investments in family-owned, traditional industry Canadian businesses. He started his career working in investment banking and advisory services at EY.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Smith School of Business at Queen’s University and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. He has served on the boards of several private equity-backed companies.

Outside of the office, Andrew and his wife can be found chasing their toddler around the city or spending time at the family cottage.
